A National program that enables hoteliers to better serve the needs of seniors and people with disabilities to ensure they receive the same level of service as all other guests. Rating manual and information available. Includes training videos, or CD-ROM Interactive Training Program.

Accommodating Seniors and People With Disabilities

LEVEL 1: Facilities receiving the 1 st Level Rating will provide effective service to:
  •  Seniors With Normal Aging/ Limitations of Hearing, Vision and Agility and Mild Disabilities
LEVEL 2: Facilities receiving the 2 nd Level Rating will provide the effective service to:
  • Persons with Mild Hearing Impairments
  • Persons with Stamina/ Strength/ Agility Limitations ie. Seniors
  • Persons with Mild Visual Impairments
LEVEL 3: Facilities receiving the 3 rd Level Rating will provide effective service to:
  • Persons with Mild - Moderate Hearing Impairments
  • Persons with Stamina/Strength/ Agility Limitations, ie. Seniors
  • Persons with Mild - Moderate Visual Impairments
  • Persons who are Independent Wheelchair Users
LEVEL 4: Sets the highest standard, reaching for excellence in Barrier Free Design/Service. Facilities receiving the 4 th Level Rating will provide effective service to:
  • Persons with Mild to Severe Hearing Impairments
  • Persons who Are Blind
  • Persons who Are Deaf
  • Persons who Are Dependent Wheelchair Users
  • Persons with Stamina/Strength/ Agility Limitations, ie. Seniors
  • Persons with Mild - Severe Visual Impairments
